Cuts Film Festival
Cliff Productions are very proud
to announce the first ever short film festival
in Buckinghamshire!
It’s called Short Cuts and
will be held in association with the two week
Aylesbury Town festival on the 15th September
2008.
The Odeon Cinema in Aylesbury is
the venue for the screenings. In addition to
showcasing a selection of the best British short
films, Short Cuts will be running a competition
for local filmmakers. Films submitted as part
of the competition will be judged and the winning
films selected for screening.

Darren
Cliff is awarded Entrepreneur of the Year
Cliff Productions, a film and video
production company, were thrilled learn that
they were finalists in the 11th Aylesbury Business
Excellence Awards. They were nominated in three
categories; Small Business of the Year, Innovation
Award and Entrepreneur of the Year.
The awards were held in Aylesbury’s
Civic Centre on Friday 25th May and Managing
Director, Darren Cliff, went home winner of
the Entrepreneur of the Year.
The award was sponsored
and judged by Aylesbury Vale District Council.
Netta Glover, the council’s Chairman
presented Darren with the award.

had to say…
“The panel
were very impressed with the way in which Darren
had developed his media company over the last
3 years. He has clearly demonstrated the leadership
skills required for the successful running
and operation of a small business.
We were looking for
a high level of creativity and innovation in
the development of business and Darren has
been very entrepreneurial in the range of markets
that the company is involved with. There is
also a very clear strategy to grow the business
further into the future, strengthening the
position of the business to develop and employ
more people. The Panel felt that based on the
evidence provided and the story about how the
company had been formed and developed that
Darren Cliff deserved to be the overall winner
of the Entrepreneur of the Year.”
Darren Cliff is proud of
his recent achievements and is focussed on
continuing the growth and future success of
the business.

Launch
We are pleased
to announce the launch of airspace! A space
for organisations to discover more about people
who use their services…
airspaceTM is a unique mobile unit for you to use at exhibitions,
conferences and events - a new, fun and innovative
approach to the tired old consultation method
of surveys and questionnaires!
airspaceTM is a video diary room; participants
enter one side and sit In a comfortable enclosed
space. On the other side of the wall, we ask
the questions that you need answers to and
record the responses on video.
airspaceTM has been used by Dacorum Borough
Council in Hertfordshire to get feedback from
adult professionals at a conference.

 Aylesbury Business Excellent Awards
It’s a hat trick!
Cliff Productions have received three nominations
in the 11th Aylesbury Business Excellence
Awards!
After a very successful year, we decided to
enter three categories in these local prestigious
business awards. The obvious category for us
was the Innovation Award for airspace, which
has been a huge success when launched in 2007.
Another natural choice was Entrepreneur of
the Year for our managing director Darren Cliff.
Without his vision and commitment Cliff Productions
would not be the success we are today! Finally
we chose to enter the Small Business of the
Year award! We are delighted that we have been
short listed as finalists in all three categories.
The team will be attending the award ceremony
on Friday 23rd May 2008! Watch this space to
