Artist Taking the Lead

Artists Taking the Lead is the most ambitious and wide ranging art commission in the UK and is being developed by Arts Council England, in partnership with London 2012.

Award winning artist, Rachel Gadsden, is bidding to become one of 9 commissioned artists to create new works of art across the UK. Rachel is proposing to create a body of contemporary paintings which will celebrate for the first time the historical global journey of the Paralympics from 1948 until the year of its return in 2012. She will base the project at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

We were asked us to produce a 3 minute film to support her entry. Rachel will find out if she is successful in July. Good luck Rachel!
